I mainly write poetry and sometimes fiction. Creating digital art in Adobe Photoshop is a fairly new passion of mine that quickly blossomed into my life career choice. I have a personal goal of publishing a book of my digital art tied in with my poetry at some point in time, be it self-published or by some well-established publishing house.

I am working toward my Certificate in Graphic Design and will be done soon. Then I will apply to different art schools around the country, probably one of the Art Institutes. It is also a big dream of mine to travel abroad for either leisure or school to Germany.

I am looking to meet new people and maybe someone special, although I did not come here looking for solely that. Even though I have not dated around that much, I look for these top qualities:

1. Intelligence: There is nothing worse than sitting with someone who has the personality of a slug that has nothing interesting to say while trying to carry on an conversation...its a really big turn-off.

2. Maturity: Not only in physical age (preferably 27-37), but also emotionally...if you cannot express yourself in that area to a certain degree and choose to hold it in continuously, it will cause major issues. Express yourself in that area where you see fit.

3. Patience: Referring to the old saying, it really is a virtue....a HUGE one in my book. I cannot stand it when some have a hissy-fit for small, silly things; such as not getting their way when they wanted something in a allotted amount of time but didn't get it. Life is too short and it solves NOTHING to have a bad temper...remember, good things come to those who wait.

4. Kindness: "Do unto to others as they would do unto to you"...this one is self-explanatory.

5. Honesty: "Honesty is the best policy"...once again, self-explanatory.

If you have no respect for me and who I am, then we have nothing to discuss.

Hi! Just thought I would try this out and see what happens. I have been single for the last year and a half, and feel that it's time to get back out there again. I recently turned 65. Began receiving SS checks. I have joined all of those people that said out loud �where did all the years go?� I supersized my glass of wine and gave all this some thought. I don't HAVE to go to work. I don't HAVE to get up at an appointed time. I don't HAVE to do s***. While enjoying the benefits of the second glass it came to me that I had just been given a ream of paper (with lots more on demand) on which I could write my future with complete freedom. My imagination would be my only limit and my imagination has no limits.
I began making a list of things that I want to do. Maybe you have too. As I raced across the pages writing and writing it struck me that the order of each day should be having fun. Amazing how such a simple thing escaped me until now. I dedicated a section to "Fun Things I Like To Do". Reviewing this lengthy list it dawned on me that the majority of activities require having a partner. Maybe you are way ahead of me and have known this for some time but it seems that I am now just beginning to learn who I am. Mind bending.
It's apparent to me that if I am to have all this fun I have to get proactive and find a partner. I've begun. I've torn up my list of "Fun Things I Like To Do" and replaced it with "Fun Things We Like To Do." I smiled at this thinking that "We" is such a great word for being so small.

My name is Aaron I am currently enlisted in the USN. I love to listen to music and play pool. I like to be outdoors bike riding or roller blading. I'm up for just staying in at night watching movies or going to a party. I just like to hangout and have fun. I have a lot of fun working on cars. I'll literally tinker with my car just trying to find something wrong with it so i can fix it. I love to listen to music. If i could i'd listen to is 24/7. Well im a 25 year old guy from the south that decided he wanted a change of pace so i choose to move to the west coast. Loving my time here and looking for good people to hang out with and see where it goes.

I was born in Mobile Al and spent my life moving around since my dad was a medic in the Army. I've lived in Alabama, Florida, Texas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Massachusetts, Germany and here. I've been to numerous other states and countries and look forward to seeing as much of the world as i can. I love soaking up the culture and attitudes of different places, even if they are different than mine. The one thing ive learned from my travels is the world really is a small place.

I enjoy playing videogames, seeing movies in the theater, going out to local restaurants, snowboarding, walking around cities, racquetball, watching college football, going to concerts, working out, and writing.

I would have to say that in most ways im like a big ass hippie. Peace, Love, and Understanding are all qualities that are apart of me (and a kick ass song by the way) so share the love! Only problem with me is that I'm usually very quiet when it comes to crowded areas. People usually never notice me because of this, but those that do never seem to regret meeting me. As for recent events, Im living in Whidbey Island, Washington. A boring place that has some kick ass views. Lots of stuff to do if you enjoy going outside in 40 degree weather that rains most of the time.... YA!. But im still wondering after i finish my time in the navy whether i will Saty in the Seattle Area or Go Back home to San Antonio, TX for college and my masters

I am a very young widow aged 65. Most people think I'm a lot younger and I believe it's because I don't think old. I have a great sense of humor and love to joke with others. When I can get a smile from someone, I'm delighted! I love life, am spiritual rather than religious, and whatever you are is fine with me. I volunteer a lot, love to sing and love the theatre. I'm also writing my life story and I'm finding it not that simple. I have lived an interesting not the mainstream type of life and writing about it is a real challenge. I love to travel and would like a partner that would like to see more of our country and overseas. I love China, and would like to go back someday as well as Europe. I've never had children but understand and appreciate my partners need to be close with their own. I've been alone for 5 years, and would love to be in another commited relationship. I miss the sharing and closeness that relationships bring. My partner would need to be loyal, affectionate, a good communicator, and very sincere and honest just like I am. Friends say I am attractive, bright, and feisty; I know that I am a little impulsive, ready to try almost anything once. I have a sweet little dog, a classic (1957 Thunderbird) car, and an almost perfect life here in the Pacific Northwest.
I do some writing, volunteer as a literacy tutor to adults, go with friends to concerts, movies, theatre, dining out ,etc. I like blues, classical, jazz and bluegrass music, and my favorite activity at any time is reading. I am a former special librarian and I retired 12 years ago from a position as a university administrator. Don't much like shopping of any kind and I have seriously tried to 'forget' how to cook (never really liked cooking all that much to begin with). I have two grown and very loving sons who have their own lives, one across the country in Indiana and the other across the Strait in Victoria, B.C. And twin 10 yr. old granddaughters on whom I dote.
All in all, a pretty satisfying life except that I'd like to share and enjoy it with ... ?? you??? Looking for someone with a good sense of humor, well-balanced, no hidden agenda or heavy 'baggage,' and who doesn't play mind games. A sense of humor and an open and generous spirit are musts. I like intelligence (love a witty, parrying conversation) and relate best to a willingness to understand others' points of view -- basically, a well intentioned and honest person. I am loyal, direct, straightforward, and just a little lonely. I prefer someone who is comfortable enough with himself to let me be myself. At this time in my life, I'm really not about to become a "new" me. I hope to meet someone who can care for and respect me for just who I am. Now, that's an ideal I can both meet and easily reciprocate!
