Whether it is a private party, wedding reception or corporate function, Lust Life is able to play anything from soft jazz for background music to groovin' R&B, Jump Blues, Swing and Pop. This band is made up of talented musicians who have played in some of the U.S. and Canada 's top bands. We can provide music ranging from a small trio or quartet for more intimate gatherings to a six-piece dance band for larger occasions and receptions. No matter what your budget, Lust Life is willing to work with you to make your special day one to remember. We pride ourselves on being able to read the room tailoring the energy of the music to that of the room and keeping your guests wanting more. We have worked in large venues such as the Royal BC Museum, Victoria International Jazz Festival and Hatley Castle at Royal Roads, to smaller venues such as Vista 18 at the Chateau Victoria and various clubs and private home parties. A Singer Songwriter with an overwhelming desire to touch the hearts and souls of his listeners, he likes the hurtin' songs the most because it give him a chance to interact with his own feelings and personality. You may recall his debut album in the early eighties (on vinyl) and it's string of top ten hits with titles such as "You Are", "Captain Courageous", "Goodbye Old Friend" and "Eyes Of Love'.  John still likes to get together with an appreciative audience every now and then, not an easy thing to do if your the shy quite type...

 

John was born in England within cheering distance of the "Manchester United Football Grounds" where he was raised by his single mother. He enjoyed his childhood but it was extremely difficult for his mother as his father was killed in the North Africa war. John never met his dad and that loss still occupies a large empty place inside, it's probably how John creates his soulful impressions when he sings. He certainly has a way of transferring these deep felt emotions into the hearts and minds of his audiences wherever he goes. Listening to John sing his songs is a plain and simple human experience...
