Victoria Canada Culture
In Victoria, BC Culture Days have announced a series of free and dedicated activities and events to be held over the weekend of June 3 and 4, 2017 to celebrate National Indigenous Day. During the Cultural Days this weekend, visitors are encouraged to attend events in Victoria and the surrounding region, such as the Saanich Culture Day, which is being held at the Cedar Hill Recreation and Arts Centre.
This year there is a clubhouse for the Victoria Fringe Theatre Festival and two or three productions are being staged at Macpherson Royal Theatres. The Victoria Short Film Festival will also be held here on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 10.30 to 4pm.
Victoria is a lovely destination, but summer has an added bonus with the Victoria Festival of Arts and Culture. Destination Greater Victoria also promotes what visitors from other parts of the province can do when they visit the capital. Overall, we had a fantastic time in Victoria and it just made us realise how much we want to explore the rest of Canada. You can take a free tour of the Parliament of British Columbia (you must register outside) to learn more about the Canadian political system and how it works. Victoria is a fascinating and beautiful place to visit, and I couldn't think of a better place to start my Canadian adventure.
